HOCKEY GAME ( MARCH 17, 2024)
A group attended the Vancouver Giants Hockey game on March 17, 2024 and everyone seemed to have a great time. The game was played at the Langley Events Center and the visiting team was the high flying Prince George Cougars, one of the top teams in Canada. We're hoping to have this event in March every year.
PRESIDENT GUEST SPEAKER SERIES (TBD)
The President Guest Speaker Series is a luncheon that occurs from time to time depending on issues and subjects of interest to the membership as well as the availability of speakers. Whenever the event has been held, it is well attended by members and others of the food and drug industry.
PFDG GOLF TOURNAMENT (JUNE 06, 2024)
The PFDG Golf Tournament will again be held at the Delta Golf & Country Club again on Thursday, June 06, 2024. Richard Parkinson, Garth Ramsay, Jay Hallen and Grant Norris-Jones took first place in 2023. Will your team topple them this year? Start planning on attending this fun event. NOONER AT NAT BAILEY’S STADIUM (AUG 11, 2024)
A summer day watching the Vancouver Canadians Baseball team has proven to be very popular. We are looking to host this event on a Sunday on August 11, 2024. Weather is generally great and everyone has a good time watching the Canadians play baseball. Come out and join us this year. More info and ticket order form will be available in June. THE PFDG BRUNCH AND SILENT AUCTION (2024) – CANCELLED
The Brunch and Silent Auction has been our annual fundraising event which sustains the activity of our club throughout the year. Unfortunately and mostly due to the COVID pandemic, we have not hosted this event since 2019. We have decided to suspend this event until further notice. CHRISTMAS LUNCH & BURSARY PRESENTATIONS (NOV 28, 2024)
The annual Christmas Lunch & Bursaries Presentation will again be held on November 28, 2024. More info will be available later this year. Last year was the first Christmas Luncheon since 2019 and it was a huge success. Those attending were able to mingle with other members and guests. PFDG presented Bursaries to 16 qualifying students that are attending post secondary education. Four students were in attendance to receive their Bursary and those that were not able to attend, the Bursary Cheques were given to the grandparents in attendance.
